The Director-General of National Youth Service Corps, Brig.-Gen. Ibrahim Shuaibu declared that the post university graduate program has generated N511m so far in 2021.

National Youth Service Corps is not just a program that equips university graduates, it has income streams that generate revenue for the federal accounts. Brig.-Gen. Ibrahim Shuaibu said it in an interview that this revenue sources have generated in 2021 almost double the amount it generated in 2020. He said “From these ventures, we generated over N280m in 2020, which we paid into the federation account.
“For 2021, we have generated N511m, which we will also pay to the federation account. This is our contribution to the national economy.”
Listing the income streams, Brig.-Gen. Ibrahim Shuaibu said the incomes sources were the NYSC garment factories in Anambra state and Niger states. Another is the bakery and table water factories in the Federal Capital.
Other sources include film production and national troupe bookings and performances.
