Current Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi, has declared his interest in the 2023 Presidential Elections. He also met with Presidential Buhari in a closed-door meeting to discuss his interest.

Governor David Umahi’s interest in the presidential elections is coming just 24 hours after the official declaration of APC National party chairman, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Umahi, in an interview after the closed-door meeting with President Buhari, said he would run under the umbrella of the APC. He also said that his success as a governor for 6years has made him a good choice for the nation’s number one seat.
When asked about his competition, the APC National chairman, Governor Umahi, said he is not in competition with anyone, stressing that only God’s will would prevail.
