Medical experts of the World Health Organization, WHO, have on Friday approved baricitinib used with corticosteroids and synthetic antibody treatment Sotrovimab to treat Covid.

As the number of recorded Covid cases continues to rise all around the world, medical experts have continued their search for a better way to fight the virus.
The experts say that this new treatment has increased survival rates of infected people and highly reduced the use of ventilators. Also, their report says that the treatment also gives the elderly or people with chronic diseases such as diabetes a fighting chance.
This brings the total number of WHO approved treatments to five. The other three treatments include corticosteroids, tocilizumab and sarilumab.
