IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has received a refusal from both the United States and the United Kingdom to send observers during his court trials starting today.

Why it matters?
Ahead of the IPOB’s leader court trial starting today, the lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu sent a request to the United States and United Kingdom to send observers during his trials. According to him, the presence of these observers would grant him a fair trial.

In the refusal letters from both countries, while the United States said it is restricting its employees from public gatherings, the United Kingdom said it is usually absent from court trials of its citizens. 

Nnamdi Kanu’s court trial is to begin today, Tuesday, January 18th and run till Thursday January 20th.
