The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, during the University of Lagos convocation ceremony, has advised that institutions should set up educational banks who would grant student loans to individuals seeking admission into tertiary institutions.

Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, while speaking at the University’s 52nd convocation, explained that one of the biggest requests he receives from people is funding for education. According to him, the loans would be interest free and would be paid by the loaned two years after completion of the National Youth Service Corps.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairperson of the event, Justice Amina Adamu Augie of the Supreme Court, encouraged Nigerian youths to be outstanding in their various fields of learning.
