The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib has announced that the agency has included Covid-19 vaccination for babies within 0-23 months.

The Executive Director made this announcement while speaking during the agency’s first meeting of 2022 in Abuja on Tuesday, during which he briefed the public on the update of the agency regarding vaccination.

Dr. Faisal Shuaib further explained that the vision of the NPHCDA is to make available Covid-19 vaccination alongside other child vaccines. He said that during the Christmas and new year celebration, there were spikes in the number of people infected with the virus and that vaccinated people had mild symptoms unlike the unvaccinated.

The Executive Director advised Nigerians above the ages of 18 years to get their first, second and third boosters.
