Former Governor of Imo State and current senator representing Imo State West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha has declared his intentions to run for the presidential election in 2023.

The former governor made this announcement in a letter which was read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on Wednesday, 26th January 2022 at a plenary. The eight years governor joins several others in the race for the ultimate leadership position in Nigeria’s politics.
Rochas Okorocha, who is currently a member of the All Progressive Congress, said in the letter that he would officially host a press conference on Monday, 31st January 2022, to declare his presidential aspiration.
