Former President of the Senate and two-term Governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki has joined the presidential race for the 2023 general elections. He made his intention known on Wednesday through his Facebook page.

The Big Picture. 
In his declaration post, Bukola Saraki declared himself as a man who has “strong record of delivering and experience in making tough decisions.” Intending to run under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party, the former lawmaker sought the support of everyone to make Nigeria better.

Under the People’s Democratic Party, Dele Momodu (publisher of the Ovation newspaper), Pius Anyim (former senate president), and Sam Ohuabunwa have also declared their interest to run for the 2023 Presidential Seat. There are also indications that former vice president Atiku Abubakar would declare his interest under the same party.
