Governor aspirant, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and other governorship aspirants under the All-Progressive Congress have, on Sunday, vowed to challenge the result of the January 27th primaries in Ekiti State.

While speaking on Sunday, Senator Bamidele declared the primaries result null, and the result announced by the electoral committee chairman, Governor Abubakar Badaru, as manipulated. He added that the steps being taken were within his constitutional rights as a party member.
Recall that Senator Bamidele and other gubernatorial candidates called for the postponement of the January 27th elections, stating a lack of faith and trust in the committee assigned to overlook the electoral process. The Senator in his statement urged party Faithfuls and the people of Ekiti State to stay prayerful and calm as justice would prevail.
