The Assistant General Secretary of National Labour Congress, Asuzu Echezona, has announced that the Congress would go ahead with the rally scheduled for Thursday 27th 2022, despite the FG suspension for the removal of fuel subsidy.

During a meeting at the National Assembly on Monday, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed and the Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva announced that the Federal Government has suspended the removal of fuel subsidy till further notice.
Despite the announcement by the FG, the leadership of the NLC in a letter to state governors has said that the rally would go on as scheduled. In the letter, NLC expressed its displeasure over the inability of the government to properly manage the Nigeria’s refineries. It also advised the government to engage the congress to seek solutions to the downstream petroleum sub-sector
