The National Coordinator of the All-Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared an interest in the 2023 Presidential Election.

The APC Coordinator and former Lagos state governor made the declaration yesterday after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in the state house in Abuja. This declaration is coming after several months of rumors that Mr. Ahmed Tinubu would run for the 2023 presidential election.
While speaking to newsmen, Mr. Ahmed Tinubu said that ruling the country has been a lifelong dream of his. He added he hopes to replicate the tremendous success he achieved while governing Lagos State.
When asked about President Buhari’s stance on the former Lagos State governor’s presidential ambition, he said that the President didn’t advise him not to pursue his dream. He added he would continue consultation from other leaders on this dream of his.
