The Governors under the All-Progressive Congress, APC, met on Sunday evening to deliberate over the date for the party’s National Convention. Other matters arising involved a vote of confidence for the chairperson of the caretaker committee.

The Big Picture. 
In the meeting involving 20 governors under the ruling party, the Governors resolved to go ahead with the decision to hold the National Convention in February. After the meeting which ended by 11:30pm, the Chairman of Governors Forum and current governor of Kebbi state, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu confirmed this decision to newsmen, with no specific date set yet in February.

He further added that the Governors forum passed a vote of confidence on the chairman of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and current Governor of Yobe State, Gov Mai Mala Buni and two other governors, Abubakar Sani Bello (Niger State) and Gboyega Oyetola (Osun State).
