A motion moved in the house of representatives yesterday to set up a committee to investigate the involvement of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba in the Magodo Crisis.
Why it matters?
The residents of Magodo woke up to the presence of armed police officers, members of the landlord association, etc. They were in the estate to execute a court order on the acquisition of one property of a long-standing dispute.
The motion which was raised on Wednesday by Ademorin Kuye and Rotimi Agunsoye was supported by the House and will see the set-up committee probe the involvement of the AGF And IGP. Also, the committee will determine sanctions on the federal officials and any other offenders found guilty in the case.
