Mr. Voke Ighorodje, the aide to the deputy president of the senate has resigned his position. Reports by the punch newspaper says that the resignation letter dated January 12, 2022.
Why it matters?
In the resignation letter, the legislative aide to Ovie Omo-Agege, appreciated the Deputy President for giving him the opportunity to serve. Giving a reason for his resignation, Mr. Ighorodje said he wishes to give his attention to other matters and hopes to continue his friendship with the Deputy President.
In response to the resignation of Mr. Ighorodje, the Delta chapter of All Progressive Congress released a statement expelling the former aide just a few days after the resignation. In the expulsion statement, the party accused Mr. Ighorodje of gross misconduct, anti-party activities, conspiracy with the opposition party and many others.
