The scarcity of fuel in Lagos and other parts of the country is diminishing as reports show less queue in fuel stations.
The Big Picture.
The News Agency of Nigeria in a situation report said that fuel stations in parts of Lagos such as Abule-Egba, Iyana-Ipaja and Oshodi have reduced queues on Friday. Also, Mr Mike Osatuyi, National Operations Controller, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) told newsmen that retail outlets have received products for sale. Mr Mike Osatuyi added that in the future NNPC and other related bodies should endeavor to follow the due process.
The scarcity of fuel resulted from the withdrawal of the product by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) from retailers after they noticed methanol beyond specifications in the imported product.
