Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have seized illicit drugs in Nigeria of over 1.5 million tablets.

They loaded the truck with drugs at Onitsha, Anambra State and were heading to Yauri, Kebbi State when members of the NDLEA intercepted them. 

NDLEA operatives intercepted 425,000 tablets of Diazepam in Segemu, Kano state while a huge amount was recovered at Edo state. A statement by the Director of Media and Advocacy of the agency, Femi Babafemi said that operatives of the agency have had successful take down in seven states in the past week. 

According to him, the drugs were seized alongside several arms and ammunition. The full list of seized drugs includes tramadol, codeine, exol-5, diazepam, bromazepam, pentazocine injections and ampoules.
