Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku.

Lead Officer, Livelihood and Economic Recovery of the project, Margaret Bulus has on Friday announced that the Taraba State Government will empower its youths and women through skill acquisition programs.

Why it matters?
As a bid to tackle the level of poverty that the residents of the state have suffered because of insecurity, the Taraba State Government has trained about 720 youth and women.

In the 2022 Basic Services Delivery and Livelihood Empowerment Integrated Project, the government will equip more residents with profitable skills.

According to the lead officer, Margret Bulus, the empowerment program would not stop at training but also equipping the trainees financially and giving them the rightful connection to break into the market.
